• Crew Memeber

    Crew Member -  FT; As part of Crew Team, deliver on-site Energy Services Program Services based on home performance audits and defined work scopes. Work includes, but is not limited to, air sealing and insulation, electrical reduction, window and door installation, heating installation and repairs, as well as small home repairs. Responsibilities include implementing ongoing agency facility maintenance program; including upkeep and repair of agency physical properties, equipment and program sites.  Participate in tool and equipment maintenance and tracking inventory materials. Program services include delivery of energy efficiency, conservation and education to consumers and program participants.; Min. Req.: 1 years’ experience in weatherization, or home performance systems, or building improvement construction skills. AND Completion of OSHA 10 and Lead Safe Practice; within six months of hire. AND Complete mandated NYS HCR mandated Weatherization Boot Camp; within six months of hire. AND Ability to utilize Air Quality assessment equipment; within four months of hire. AND Meet TCAction criteria for satisfactory driver’s license in order to utilize agency owned vehicles as well as access to personal transportation for work related activities.

  • Head Start Teacher

    Head Start Teacher - FT; Responsible for implementing an Head Start classroom education program for children 3 to 5 years including: establishing daily routine and appropriate transitions, implementing adopted curriculums to encourage active exploration, physical, cognitive and social/emotional development. Implement integrated quality service delivery in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, Regulatory Guidelines, Department and TCAction policies and procedures. Establish and ensure nurturing and responsive practices, interactions, and environments that foster trust and emotional security for children. Utilize developmentally appropriate strategies and individualization to ensure planning, classroom management and adult-child interactions support the growth of all children. Complete and utilize anecdotal notes as the basis for individualized planning, completing assessments, Parent/Guardian conferencing, Home Visits, outcome reporting and supporting child/family program transitions. Meet program plans that support School Readiness and Family Engagement framework outcomes and provide quality, integrated service delivery to children and their families at classroom sites throughout Tompkins County.; Min. Req.: Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or equivalent AND Two (2) years’ work experience meeting position competencies

  • Teacher-Home Visiting

    Teacher-Home Visiting - FT; Responsible for implementing an Early Head Start/Head Start home visiting education program for children (birth to 5 years) and families including pregnant mothers; implementing adopted curriculums to encourage active exploration, physical, cognitive and social/emotional development of children by providing resources and modeling that support effective and nurturing adult-child interactions. Utilize developmentally appropriate strategies and individualization to ensure planning and adult-child interactions support the growth of children and family goals. Complete and utilize anecdotal notes as the basis for individualized planning, completing assessments, family progress conferencing, reporting and supporting child/family program transitions. Meet program plans that support School Readiness and Family Engagement framework outcomes and provide quality, integrated service delivery to families and their children in their homes throughout Tompkins County.; Min. Req.: Associate Degree in Early Education or Family Services with 12 credits in child development OR Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with specific Home Visiting training AND Two (2) years' work experience meeting position competencies.

  • Center Manager

     

    Center Manager - FT; Position is responsible for ensuring the quality of daily program delivery as well as compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, regulatory guidelines and TCAction policies and procedures. Participates in creating program delivery and monitoring plans to ensure program goals are met. Supports and maintains a safe center environment for both staff and families, adhering to all facility compliance guidelines.  Supervise all Center staff; providing support and resources to ensure their success. Maintain Center records; including submission of reports to meet program requirements.  Coordinates and participates in the delivery of program services for families and the community.; Min. Req.: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development, Education Administration,  or related field, and 2 years program management and operations experience with supervisory responsibilities. AND Minimum of 2 years' experience as teacher of preschool age children in a program that emphasizes the parent's role in the child's development, particularly in Head Start or Early Head Start programs working with Program Performance Standards. AND Experience implementing and monitoring curriculum and program delivery plans. AND Experience in data collection, program reporting and regulatory compliance. AND Experience working in Community Partnerships or Community Relations capacity, preferred.

AND Two (2) years’ work experience meeting position competencies.
