Primary School Support

For families throughout Tompkins County with children transitioning to kindergarten through the second grade, family advocates provide support, resources and referrals to build strong school relationships. TCAction’s collaborative relationship with school officials serves to enhance the benefits of parent/teacher conferences and mediation on behalf of children. Advocates work directly with families through home visits, classroom observation, parent networking events and resource referrals.
